3 soldiers killed in Afghan suicide attack By:Emma Wall

http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/02/world/asia/afghanistan-troop-attacks/index.html?c=asia

"Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) - Three Afghan soldiers were killed Thursday when a suicide bomber targeted their vehicle -- the third such attack in the last 24 hours."  This article states that this incident is not the first. For example,  "On Wednesday, two separate suicide attacks on army vehicles killed seven soldiers and wounded 17 others. Two civilians were also injured."

I honestly don't agree with this. I do not think you should kill innocent citizens for no reason and it is sad that someone would kill people and themselves. I do not see the reason for this nor do I see why you would want to.

Royals warn paparazzi to back off baby George By: Emma Wall

In this article it talks about the royal couples son, George. They are upset that paparazzi is following their child. They want their child to live a normal life without being followed constantly. Along with the article there is a video about the issue.

I understand where they are coming from. If I was put in their situation I would not want people constantly stalking my child. I would want them to live a normal life without all of the fame. Stalking in general is very creepy, so to think that it is a normal thing for them is very odd. I completely support their decision.

Is N. Korea still digging tunnels to South? By: Emma Wall

http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/02/world/asia/north-korea-dmz-tunnels/index.html?c=asia

In this article it talks about how the North Koreans have dug tunnels underneath South Korean territory. The South Koreans considered this act as an invasion. The North Koreans have dug 3 tunnels that are 13 to 16 feet wide and 39 feet in depth. Gen Hahn, "is certain that North Korean soldiers were working beneath their feet, protecting the tunnel."

I know that there have been issues in the past between North and South Korea, so I can understand where South Korea's worries are coming from.  I think that they should not worry about this however.  I think that it is ok as long as no harm is done.

Once-massive lake dries up to almost nothing By: Emma Wall

http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/30/world/asia/aral-sea-drying/index.html?c=world

In this article it talks about how the 4th largest lake in the world is now almost gone. The aral sea is now almost dried up. Along with the article, It also provides an interesting video representation of the event.

When I read this article I was very surprised. I feel that this is just one example of what is happening to our world. I mean this is a real eye-opener. Losing massive amounts of water is not good for our enviorment especially since we rely on water so much. How are we supposed to use water for normal activities such as drinking and washing-up if we don't even have access to any? It's definitely something to think about.

Frisco Tragedy

On September 3rd, police found a 10 year old boys parents dead in their home. Their names were semeet Dhawan (father) and Pallavi Dhawan (mother). Pallavi was accused of killing her 10 year old son Arnav in january. Arnav was suffering from an illness and his mother found him and preserved his body until his father got home. She put Arnav in a bathtub full of ice. Once his father got home they called the police/ ambulance. Policemen couldn't u understand why she waited so long to make the call but Pallavi said she just wanted his father to he him and it was her 1st thought as a mother. Later in the investigation detectives and policeman invited that she was a murder.  Pallavi and semeet remained hopefully that the jury would change their minds and knew in their hearts that they were innocent.  A neighbor found Pallavi body inside of their home and semeet in the backyard pool and called the police. Police have not been able to justify if this was a murder or suicide.

This story truly breaks my heart. I really don't thing that the mother killed her son at all because her story of how she found him sounds very truthfully.  I honestly think that the parents committed suicide or killed one another because they had lost all hope even if they knew deep down they were innocent. I think it makes police look bad that they assumed that it was a murded. I thought an investigation was to get to the bottom of things and bring the truth out, not to assume. At least the entire family is in a better place.
