U.S. forces have a critical mission in addition to training Afgan soldiers, They have to pack more then 11 years of equipment and send it back home. Many wonder if this will be able to be accomplished by 2014. "What we're doing here is we're working on retrograde of over 50 vehicles from our task force," says Capt. Michael Williams, the logistics officer. "These vehicles aren't being used in any of our missions, so we're working on pushing them out of the country. We've already sent quite a few down to KAF." From there the containers are shipped out of the county mainly by land. They go through pakistan which is one reason why it makes it so hard. All vehicles have to go through inspection, then after inspection they drive or tow the vehicles out. They run across many surprises "For example, one of these vehicles we have to either tow it or head it to KAF because it has no seat belts, so it's a safety issue to drive it down there," he says, laughing." When they go through all the containers they find mostly junk. They have a lot to ship out and the process takes a very long time.
I think this is a really tedious job and I feel sorry for the people having to do all this work. It would take a lot hard work and patience. Hopefully they finish before 2014!

Its good to hear that these people are finally coming home, but they also face much danger with trying to get everything out. There may be many people who do not like our forces even after the was has ended.
