Manila is Taking China to Tribunal - EMMA HERNANDEZ

The Philippines is starting to increases the pressure of China, since China is having claims in the Soutn China Sea. China if filling this claims by a legal claim against the country under the U.N Convention on the Law of The Seas. A verdict with China is to be issued several yeas down the road.

The Philippines are taking action now because of the irritation which might cause China to risk their economic relationships.
Also the international relationships in Asia are dictated by domestic affairs. It is up to global power to control the actions of China. Philippines though do know what to do when it comes to economics.
