A hurricane going 145-mph (wind) is incouraging hundreds of Guantanamo Bay workers to evacuate and is slowly wreaking havoc on Haiti and Jamaica. Hurricane Matthew is expected to have a ton rainfall on Jamaica and Haiti on Sunday evening before making landfall Monday. Many Jamaicans, however, believe they can ride out the storm, putting their trust in a higher power, despite the peas from authorities to leave the coast. The storm could also be brutal for Cuba, where many houses appear too weak to withstand a hurricane. Friday night into a Category 5 storm, becoming the strongest hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean since Felix in 2007. But it is now a Category 4 storm, meaning it carries winds between 130 and 156 mph.
I believe this rainfall will produce life-threatening flash floods and mudslides. Preparations to protect life and property should be rushed to complete. Sense these types of hurricanes have happened in the past doesn't mean it will be the same as the last one. I would bring all the things I could and evacuate sense with hurricanes you can know ahead of time unlike earthquakekes or glaciers.
