Balloon Explosion in Egypt by Sylvie Lednicky
On Tuesday, a hot air balloon explosion in Egypt proved to be the most deadly hot air balloon accident in twenty years. Nineteen people were killed. Although there will be a two week investigation over the case, it has been confirmed that there was no foul play. Gas canisters exploded, causing the balloon to deflate and the passengers to fall over 1,000 feet down. Tourist rates in Egypt are expected to decline. I'm sure that they warned these people of the risks, but who ever really pays attention to the danger? We just sign and agree. This can happen, and it did.

This is such an awful thing to happen. It is very important to be aware of the risks of something like riding in a hot air balloon.
ReplyDeleteWow! kind of makes me wonder about the other things we sign up for without fully considering the consequences...

That's really a tragic accident.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that many people could fit into a hot air balloon. That is so tragic.
