Blasts in Mogadishu; 1 dead- Joseph Katinas
At least 1 person has died and 7 have been wounded in two blasts in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia on Friday, said the police.
Apparently a bomber blew himself up inside a popular seafront restaurant, while another explosive was detonated at the entrance.
Last month, a blast tore through the same area, killing a security guard. That swath of the city is frequented by foreign people and tourists. Somalia and its capital have long been trapped in civil strife between it's weak government and Islamist militains.
I find this article very sad. There is just so much war and terrorism going on in Africa and they need to stop right now, beacause now they are attacking innocent lives.

Two questions, slightly rhetorical. 1. Why are there still so many tourists if this has been going on for a while? 2. What did the bomber have to gain from exploding a popular restaurant? If he wanted fried fish, he could have just ordered... ok, ok. Bad joke.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happens in the US..at movie theaters, malls...All violence is bad.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the bombers reasoning by blowing himself up at a fish restaurant.
ReplyDeleteViolence happens anywhere, and it's very unfortunate any time it does
