In Texas, not too long ago, a teenage girl with down-syndrome almost lost her life. A fire had started in her house, and if it wasn't for the salesman walking door-to-door, she would have died. He was selling fire alarms (ironic, I know), and saw smoke coming out of one of the houses. He immediately took off running and kicked one of the windows in to get inside to help anybody is necessary. The girl was home alone, and was screaming "help" at the top of her lungs. Thankfully, somebody was there to answer her calls. According to the article, when he got inside of the house, he didnt hear her at first, but then he finally heard her cries. He carried her out of the fire and saved her life. Its amazing how a stranger can make such an impact on a family. This article was written by Scott Gordon, and I found it to be interesting and it made me happy to know that people still do things like this. There was not any bias, and I think it was written for people in Texas or just anybody who wants an uplifting story. Although scary at the start, it is nice to know that somebody who didnt even know the girl went inside, risking their life just to save hers.
