10/3/16 Hoboken Train Crash- Theresa Dvorocsik

At 9:15, last Friday, my father received an email from one of his clients, DJ, who lives in New Jersey. He was on the train when it crashed into the train station. He reported that he was in a train crash and hurt his shoulder. He is completely fine and healed now.
Around 8:45, last Friday, a train overran its stopping point, slammed into a bumper block, went airborne and hurtled through a passenger concourse at one of the busiest transit hubs in the New York area. Only one person died, waiting on the platform.
This is very interesting to me because I have a relationship with somebody in this event. It is scary to think about that a train somebody takes every day to work can malfunction and cause many casualties.

  1. I agree with you. It is scary how you never know when something can malfunction.

  2. Although I do not typically use the train as a means of transportation, have used other forms of transportation that are capable of having a malfunction. The scariest part to me is that regardless of the type of transportation a person uses, a casualty can happen at any point and can be caused by many different reasons. That's why it is always important for us to be aware of our surroundings, but more importantly, be prayerful and ask God for protection as we travel.

  3. These malfunctions happen daily in our world because man made things are not perfect. Its strang how we dont think about it until it happens to someone we know or ourselves. i hope one day we dont suffer from these problems.
