A teacher from the school of Chestatee Elementary in Gainesville in Georgia was fired after making crude remarks about first lady Michelle Obama. Teacher Jane Allen made multiple comments on how "This poor Gorilla. How is she going to function in the real world, by not having all of her luxurious vacations paid for anymore?" And when she was said to one of the most admired women in the world Allen said "I admire a gorilla more than I admire her.(Wait I forgot, she is a gorilla)!"
In my opinion these comments were uncalled for AND racist. I think the school did the right thing by firing her, it makes me wonder how she treats her students.
(THIS IS MARCUS CONTRERAS) This is absolutely sad. However I do believe people have the right to their opinion. But she should keep them to herself.
ReplyDeleteThe teacher can definitely have her own beliefs about anything. However, it is not appropriate for a teacher to make crude remarks about someone at school and make a big deal out of it. The teacher should have kept to themselves. I agree that they did the right thing about firing her.
