LAPD Investigating Fatal Shooting by Officer- Hannah Niara
On Saturday October 1, in Los Angeles, California, another black male was shot to death. This indecent started when the LAPD tried to perform a traffic stop on a car with a paper license. The reason for this is because the officers thought the two males in the car had stolen it. Attempting to get the car to pull to the side, the males in the car continued to drive, therefore the officers decided to give it a chase. After about 10 minutes of chasing the car, the car finally stopped and two black males got out and ran two different directions. The police chased one of the males and when he got close enough he shot him. A few minutes later the paramedics announced Carnell Snell Jr., and 18 year old male dead. After being called, his mother Monique Morgan told the news reporters that her son had been shot five times. I personally think that these shootings are horrible. I don't understand why police keep shooting males of the African American race, and then nothing is happening to them. I hope that peace is with Carnell and his family, but this has to stop.

ReplyDeleteI don't understand why he didn't just pull over. I do agree this cycle needs to end but I honestly think they were not pointing the fingers at him because he is black but because he looked suspicious with the way he handled it.
ReplyDeleteThis is all because of racism in my opinion, just because people are different skin tone doesn't mean they have specific behaviors. I say racism should stop. Its not the colors who change us but its us who change them and there meaning. Just saying.
