Current Event: Hurricane
Mathew
This
evening and throughout the earlier parts if this week, an extremely powerful
hurricane is going to hit Haiti, Jamaica, and may hit the Bahamas, Cuba, and
parts of Florida. The winds of this hurricane will be very strong at 150 mph.
Haiti is currently bracing for the hurricane to hit because the country is still
week from the earthquake that occurred in 2010 that killed 200,000 people.
There has also been an outbreak of cholera that has killed another 10,000, and
months of work that had been put towards fighting cholera could potentially be
lost.
Hopefully
Haiti has the right equipment to brace for the storm so not so much damage will
be done, because the hurricane will be very powerful. If I lived in Haiti or
Jamaica I would be pretty scared right now considering how unpredictable storms
like these can be. I really hope that everyone can be safe for Hurricane Mathew
and that the storm won’t do too much damage.
I hope that they are able to recover from such brutal storms, and not only that but that they are able to recover from the cholera outbreak. My heart goes out to the people of Haiti.
ReplyDeleteWell thesis horrible, so many people in danger. Sometimes I wonder why mother nature hurts so many inset people.... I wish mother nature could only hurt the bad people who actually deserve it. I hope these people don't go through a depression time.
ReplyDeletei pray that everyone will be safe in the storm. There needs to be better ways to prepare for these natural disasters so less people will be harmed.
