Worsening Natural Disasters

As the surface temperature of our oceans rise, more waster vapor fills the air, causing extreme flooding and rain. Scientists reported after Louisiana's flooding that with so much more moisture in the atmosphere, the more frequent and heavy rainfall. The Louisiana flooding this past summer was a disaster so extreme that scientists said that much rainfall in such a short period of time occurs only every 500 years. Some of the most intense flooding in the state was even closer to an every 1000 year occurrence. The United States is experienced more natural disasters than any other country at the moment.

Human activity is causing the warmer air temperatures, influenced by heat trapping gases in the atmosphere. The extreme flooding can only escalate from here, based on scientists' gathered research. I think we need to be more aware that all the gases we emit will eventually cause catastrophic events.

  1. I think that we just need to be more aware and careful of everything we do to the environment/atmosphere because it will eventually take its toll way worse later on.
