From the source given there was, depicted by the French President Hollande, depicted terrorist attack in Paris, France. This attack killed 12 people, in a small meet up for a magazine articles editing. A few of these people happened to be illustrators of this magazine.
President Hollande states, "People murdered in a cowardly manner," adding on saying, "we are threatened because we are a country of liberty." Showing he has strong upholding for his country, as a president should.
The "terrorists" shot a police officer killing 12 people in the process, soon after the shooting, stole a car, driving North through the city of Paris, stopping and hijacking yet another car for a second get away. Up to 50 shots fired, there was blood everywhere.
As stated in the article, this type of incident happened in 2011 and in 1981, nothing this serious has happened until now.
Being as it is, I personally do not understand why all of this happens, only to have innocent people die, and a federal protector be wounded as well. Very idiotic and small moves that could lead to full on wars and disputes.
With Korea hacking Sony for the movie "The Interview" and sending threats, why would anyone want to add on and cause deaths, which can lead to more and more blood and danger.
The reason why this happened was because the magazine published an illustration of the prophet Muhammad. According to Muslim religion, I believe, it's sin to show this.
