Travel Ban Remains Suspended- Victoria Gonzalez Current Event

After spending some time going back and forth as to whether or not Trump's travel ban is constitutional, a federal appeals court has denied the ban to take further action. The Federal Court has asked to both sides to make legal briefings before the final decision is made this Friday. However, despite the fact that it is well in the Supreme Court's right to claim this ban unconstitutional it is also claimed that the President's executive order is well within his right despite it's completely unorganized procedure and process. The Justice Department claimed that courts should not doubt the President's judgement by saying "Courts are particularly ill-equipped to second-guess the President's prospective judgements about future risks." But there is only a matter of time for Justice Department lawyers and lawyers for Washington state and Minnesota since the court rejected a request to reinstate the ban. Because of this, whether or not a ruling or hearing will be scheduled will all depend on whether or not the lawyers representing Washington state and Minnesota will file legal papers by Monday at 2:59 a.m. and the Justice Department's response.

  1. I truly hope this all works out for the best, and that this ban fails to go through.

  2. I agree, for that ban could tear us all apart.

  3. It's worse that this ban is only on high populated Muslim countries.
