Donald Trump recently made an executive order banning refugees from Somalia. Two Somalian refugees looking for shelter crossed into the United States from Mexico. But soon after arriving here, they were on the run again after Trump's ban. They found their way to Grand Folks, North Dakota, and got as close to the Canadian border as they could. For hours they were struggling through snow to get to across, almost dying to get there. Eventually police officers came, they requested asylum, and got in. This story shows only one of many people who are affected by this ban. Many times we see the surface level of things and don't understand because they don't affect us. Imagine the fear these people had that they would be caught and sent all the way back to Somalia after their struggle to get here. Of course we cant just have completely open borders and let anyone in the country, but its not okay to discriminate against all people from an area because of a bad few.

That's really sad. Wasn't this supposed to be the 'land of the free' I guess not anymore.
