Israel shoots down Syrian warplane that was supposedly trying to infiltrate Israel. This was the first warplane that has been shot down in that area in decades. The military would not say what type of aircraft was downed and said the circumstances of the incident were "unclear". The passengers of the aircraft managed to escape and exit the territory, as they would most likely get captured and killed in the event of getting caught.
Syria and Israel have been bitter enemies for years. Syria has accused Israel of authorizing terrorism. They have fought several wars and have not solved any conflicts between them. Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said We will not allow element, whether it is a terror group or a state, to threaten our security and breach our sovereignty,". I don't think the conflict will be solved anytime soon.
Peace must be aquainted by both sides for this fued to end. I highly doubt that it will happen but I hope the innocent survive.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mariela, both sides need to agree to end it for peace to work. Hopefully the conflict will come to a resolution but you're both right, it doesn't seem likely.
