On April 2nd Shabab militants attack Garissa University College in northeast Kenya. Throughout the day the militants separated Muslims from non-Muslims, sparing the Muslims. The non-Muslims were taken hostage and more than 140 were killed. Officials freed the surviving hostages and killed the four gunmen. In a statement, Shabab said that the attack was a planned "operation against the infidels."
I believe that this is a form of segregation in our world today. Those citizens were treated unfairly. When I think of this situation I automatically remember the Holocaust and think of the victims targeted and how they shouldn't be punished for not being born into the favorable race/class/ethnicity... Etc.
