Save the Bees by Juliet Stowe

In recent world news, it seems that the bees are disappearing rapidly. Pollution, pesticides, deforestation, and colony disease are causing honey bees to die off. This may not seem like all that much of a big deal at first, but bees pollinate much of earths plants and without insects to spread pollen over half of Earths plants will die. This would lead to worldwide starvation, most likely killing thousands.

The importance of this event is obvious. No bees lead to no plants, which leads to no food. Every source of food, whether is be meat or veggies, relies on bees. The bee's disappearance is going to really hit hard on the world, and if we do nothing hundreds are going to die. To save our ecosystem we need to plant more, reduce pollution, and stop chopping down the trees. Save the bees!

  1. I think this is just another reason as to why we need to realize that pollution is getting out of hand. This is also one more reason why we should try to do simple things like recycle and save water to help our ecosystem.

  2. I can't believe this is happening! It is sad how people pollute and are not aware how it may affect the environment. Today, people continue to do this and don't think by polluting will make a big difference. All we need to do is simply recycle and conserve water not only to help these bees, but to help ourselves. We need to stand up and start taking responsibility for our actions and help save our ecosystem.

  3. I feel like people are pushing this problem aside and they are just assuming that this problem will get fixed. This is obviously not the case and something desperately needs to get done to protect the world's food supply.
