Mike miles gets graded

Well as you know, I have a hate relationship when it comes to the stupid superintendent Mike Miles. Well guess what? He got graded for all the stuff when it comes to students and his leadership as well. The first thing that he got graded for was the STAAR results by grades 3-8 from the past two years. I'm not going to do all of them but let's use 8th grade example the 2013 year. For reading, 77% of students passed. For math, 62% of students passed in math. In 2012 it was 52%, so it's a pretty big improvement. For science, 2012 was 53% and 2013 was 66%. Big improvement. Now you're getting the picture. Miles was doing good in getting students to improve the percentage of passing students when it comes to passing the STAAR. Let's go to leadership. There was 5 things to grade on leadership. Vision: Miles insisted from the beginning on changes like better classroom instruction and stronger school leadership. It says, "he has shown boldness, innovation, and sound financial management." Now he got an A for that. But they should tell the truth when it comes to the REALITY of the vision.A lot of bad teachers have entered my middle school (when I was still there) and Nora's elementary school. Communication: Now like I said for vision, the reality of the vision should have a bad grade. That's where communication comes in. It says, "Effective communication has been Miles' weakest point." Now he got a D for that. I'm all like, "Why doesn't he get an F following it with a U, as in, 'forget u'?" Sometimes I wonder how much money Miles had to pay the guy who wrote this article. Team building: At first Miles started with an impressive management team. The article says that most of his Cabinet curiously fell apart. It also says that Miles has tried to rebound, but he has a ways to go. Sure, I bet it will take the rest of his life which is probably only 15 more years in order to keep it altogether. HA! He can't probably figure out where his kids live in Colorado so why would he try to BE a superintendent. Despite my rage, he got a C. School Board Relations: Now everybody knows about the time where he messed up by doing something he wasn't supposed to do and I'm not surprised that they didn't fire the old hag yet. It doesn't say much about the controversy, but otherwise he got a D. Finally, there's Trustworthiness (a joke according to Mike Miles): The article says that Miles has done precisely what he said he'd do: focus on student achievement. It also said Miles needs to work on converting skeptics (like me), and part of that is TRUST. That's right. TRUST. That's like trusting Kanye West that he won't be such a jerk anymore. It's not going to happen. He got a B on this category. Overall grade for leadership is a C+. As mad as I am about the final grade, the person who wrote this editorial has some good points. That's the blog today. So keep calm and hate the stupid superintendent.
