A Pakistan woman was stoned to death by her family in broad daylight as police stood on with out doing anything. The woman was killed because she married someone who she loved and not a chosen candidate picked out by her family. Her husband tried to stop them and when he failed to stop, tried to get the police's, who was standing near by, attention. The police just watched and did nothing.
I find this horrible for two reasons. (a) this woman was STONED to death by her FAMILY! just because she loved someone other than the man she was picked out to marry. In their culture, this is noted as "honor killing." (b) the police did NOTHING. sure its against their culture but still! she didn't have to die by being stoned to death! They could of tried if anything.
