China's bold evironmental move by Morgan Parmley

For many years the citizens of China (especially in the capital, Beijing) have had concerns regarding the highly polluted cities.  The people of China had expressed health concerns of the highly polluted areas many times without any response from the Chinese government.  After much publicity and many protests, the Chinese government has issued a report mandatory for work factories to reveal the true pollution levels as well as the severity of the unsafe atmosphere.

In my opinion, the Chinese government has only responded to this incident due to the bad publicity among other nations.  Historically, the Chinese government is not necesssarily known for resolving or even listening to the concerns among the people of China. Even in this instance there are most likely many other MAJOR factors we are not even aware of that have caused the government to issue this report. However, I am pleased to know that in this circumstance the Chinese people will hopefully have answers and facts that might not be obstructed by the government to save, or alltogether hide, the real truth about the air they are breathing.
