Finally after 7 years four security guards of Blackwater
Worldwide are convicted by a jury in a Washington Federal District Court
of manslaughter, murder, and weapons charges for their involvement in
the September 2007's
shooting deaths of 17 unarmed Iraqi civilians. Nicholas Slatten given the worst conviction of first degree murder, and Dustin Heard, Evan Liberty, and Paul Slough are
convicted of voluntary manslaughter and weapons violations. The
killings sparked furious protests in Iraq.
Although it took 7 years a lot of people are finally put to ease about the situation. Over the past couple of years a lot of U.S Department of defense have been on many citizens bad side. I believe that our own political system needs help in general. Population is growing very rapidly in America and that means more people to look over and if our own defense department cant get minor situations right i believe citizens wont be able to trust the safety of our country. Not only is the priorities of our legal system not right but our defense mechanisms and judgement aren't in the right order either.
