Craig Fleming | Current Events #2

On Saturday morning there was a 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Oklahoma. The earthquake began around 7:00 am being one of the worst in Oklahoma. It was felt anywhere between Chicago and Austin,Tx. I feel that even though earthquakes aren't common in this area everyone should practice for them just to be safe in instances like this. The people of Oklahoma should especially be careful because of the many earthquakes they've dealt with in the last few years.

  2. I completely agree, even though I didn't feel it I do believe that if it came down to it I would be completely clueless on how to respond to an earthquake. I've experienced one before but it was very minor and didn't really affect anyone. But, I feel that the majority of people wouldn't know how to properly respond to a major earthquake.

  3. I think it is very difficult to practice for earthquakes because it's a sudden change and can't be detected with scientists. I can't believe the earthquake was so large, but we take precautions like you said!
