Arnold Palmer Aka "the king" because of his legacy in golf recently passed at the age of 87. He died while awaiting cardiac surgery at Pittsburgh hospital Sunday evening. In Palmers life he won more than 90 Golf tournaments including the Masters four times as well as the US Open and the British Open.He became the first person to make $1 million dollars by playing golf. From learning to play the game at age four, Palmer continued playing for the rest of his life. He not only had the skills to pay the bills but he had great charisma and style that earned him spots in GQ magazines "50 most stylish men in the past 50 years" and Esquires "75 best-dressed men of all time". Not only that but Arnold Palmer had a drink named after him which is a half-lemonade half-iced tea mix that he would drink on the courses in a thermos. Arnold Palmer, a golf legend, will be forever remembered.
I was very upset when i saw this headline while looking for my current event this week because Arnold Palmer is such an important figure to the sport of golf. Not only that but his drink is one of my favorite things to drink. He will be remembered for bringing golf to a worldwide audience and changing the game into what it is today.

This is so sad, when I started reading your blog I got sad that such a huge golf figure had passed away. My dad loves golf so when he heard the news about Arnold Palmer it shocked him. But I know his legacy will live on for a long time!
