In the following month, drillers exploring the corners of west texas have made a shocking discovery. More oil is to be found. What professionals believed to be a mostly mined out sector of the country turns out to be a massive amount of shale oil yet to be mined. With 2000 drilling locations, and $4-$20 million dollars per well, this newest discovery in bound to turn the heads of investors. This will not only be a wonderful opportunity for our economy, but also a chance to use 3d seismic imaging, thats been newly invented.
This story is of significance because this much oil could create a large boom in our economy, with sticks and shares that are bound to be going around. Furthermore, this opens eyes of the drilling companies, to search places that thy previously deemed irrelevant, for the could actually be hiding a small fortune.

ReplyDeleteThis is great that they found more oil! However, in my opinion it would be better for us to stop depending so much on fossil fuels.
ReplyDeleteYes, fracking oil is a really big boom in the economy but we are destroying the planet by fracking oil but it's not really my decision on whether to do It or not
ReplyDeleteIs fracking really worth the destruction it causes? I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteWow thats a lot of $ from oil, but im not surprised it is Texas after all.
ReplyDeleteTexas' economy will probably skyrocket now. Oil has been very important to Texas economy for a very long time. I thought that Oil drilling/fracking was becoming harder because the oil is hard to find. This is a very controversial topic for me because I know that these fossil fuels take so long to make and people use so much of them.
