Bangladesh's factory for cigarette packages, British American tobacco, and snack-food packaging for nestles had an explosion killing 23 and 50 injured as they know of. They have had problems in the past with explosions but have never found the root of the problem. The blast occurred at 6 a.m. at the Tampaco industry  factory in an industrial park in Tongi. The Sunday it happened they found dead body's and no survivors inside the factory. Bangladesh experienced one of the worst industrial accidents in history when the eight- story Rana plaza collapsed in 2013, killing 1,100 people.
I personally think they should start checking these factories for imperfections because they can be and are deadly. I still want to know how these traumatic experiences happened and what they are doing to prevent them in the future. If I lived in Bangladesh I would not want to work at one of their many factories!

  1. Why would workers ever take these risks. I completely agree they should check for flaws. I can't imagine a wage that costs more than any of these innocent lives

  4. I also agree that something needs to be changed about the safety of these factories. This is a definite and major issue and not only that but one that should have been prevented. My heart goes out to the victim's families.

  5. It would seem like a place like a factory would be regularly checked for flaws in construction. I hope that they find the root of the problem and fix it quickly before anyone else gets hurt.

  6. I wouldn't want to work in any factory in Bangladesh either, and like everyone says, you would think that there would be a monthly checkup for each factory considering the fact that they have a bad history of factory mishaps.
