In 1989 a boy named Jacob Wetterlings was kidnapped and never found. Now after 27 years of searching they have found his remains. This all happened in the month of October in Minnesota in 1989, where three boys went to the convenience store to go buy a video tape. Then a man with a gun who was masked saw them and told them to lay on the ground while pointing a gun at them. He then asked Jacob, his brother, and his friend there ages. The masked man told Jacob's brother and friend to run away while Jacob was forced to stay. They never found the man that kidnapped Jacob until about a year ago. They believe a man named Danny Heinrinch,53, is the person who kidnapped Jacob. Over the years there have been laws built from the experience of Jacobs kidnap and his mother built an organization that is still known today.
I think that it is awful that things like this happen in our world. And what makes it even worse is that it still happens today. It is truly amazing that laws have been built around this because it does happen and to know that there are rules to help protect kids is just really great.

My only question (technically two questions) is, why only Jacob? Was he the youngest or?
ReplyDeleteBut, the fact that people continue to do things like this disgusts me. Any person that finds abducting innocent kids (not just kids, but anyone) amusing is truly psychotic. -Alex Travell
I think it is terrible that someone would do something like that and I am shocked that it took this long to find the kidnapper. I hope if this happens in the future that the victim and kidnapper are found as soon as possible.
