A crew of astronauts finally emerged after a year on a Mars-like environment in isolation. This environment took place in a volcano and was part of an experiment to see how the astronauts would do when dealing with long periods of isolation and claustrophobia. This experiment was the longest of its kind and was funded buy the University of Hawaii. The University is also recruiting more members to take on their next missions which are scheduled to happen within the next two years. A crew member of this experiment stated that some of their methods in their stimulated environment, such as getting water, could be used when on Mars. A crew member also apart of the experiment said, after emerging from the isolated environment, that in their opinion, they can overcome the technological and psychological obstacles.
This article was probably written for people who are interested in space and our continuing discovery of it and our experiments to solve what some planets or anything else in space would be like. The point of this article is to show that we are still trying to figure out many things about space and the planets in the solar system.
