Stager said the only possible cause that he could think of would be a current caused by the pool’s design. Fina, swimming’s governing body, said of the swimming organization and the company which built the temporary pools in Rio and Barcelona. Fina said there was no current detected in the Olympic Aquatics Stadium pool. What do you think? Just a coincidence? Or were some people given a pass in this competition?

Sounds like more of a coincidence. Typically, the fastest swimmers are in the middle lanes.
ReplyDeleteI agree about it being a coincidence. Swimmers have good and bad days. Some are faster than others, some freak themselves out. But, in this day and age, you never know. I think the Olympics would be fair, but... who knows. Anything could happen.
DeleteI think it is a coincidence. There was no current detected and it would make sense that the middle lanes would be the easiest and fastest lanes based on the layout of the pool.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a coincidence. They usually put the fastest swimmers in the middle lanes probably for camera purposes and because they are easier to see for the people there watching.
ReplyDeletei want to believe it was a coincicdence because them cheating is not right and never will be right. people should win from hard work.- Valerie Garcia
