This past Sunday, for the first time since 1964 New York topped South Korea 2-1, and won the National 2016 Little League World Series. New York beat the team from Goodlettsville, Tennessee for the United States Championship, while South Korea beat the team from Panama and won the International Championship. During Sunday's game, the New York team unfortunately did not have runner to reach any base until the fourth quarter of the game, just when Jude Abbadessa hit a single to center field. Jude also scored the teams first run in the game. This gave the team a better chance of winning. With the ball being passed by catcher Wontae Cho bought the team to their win.
