After many violent protests during the past days, India will have a new state after the bill is signed into law by the president. The bill create the state Telengana, cuttting the current state, Andhra Pradesh, in two. The population will be about 35 million and will be prodominantley agricultural. There is a lot of bickerment towards the decision, one reason being the capital of Andra Pradesh is now in Telengana, so they will share the capital for ten years and then Andhra Pradesh will have to create a new one. Personally, I dont know why this is happening. Its seems to much of a bother in my opinion that will only bring problems. Also, it seems unfair that Andhra Pradesh will lose their capital that they probably spent lifetimes building up from the ground while Telengana has done nothing to deserve it. Plus, the new state will be very govermently underdeveloped, which will br a big disadvantage.
I agree - I didn't think much of it a first, but now I'm also wondering why they're creating a new state. Why are they diving the current state in this way? Is there a way they could divide it so that the capital would stay in the same state? I guess they must have a good reason for making a new one - maybe the population got to big, or for industry reasons, monitoring agricultural production better.
ReplyDeleteThis seems pointless to me, why would they want to split their county in too, it seems like it would just create more problems, especially with the loss of their capital.
ReplyDeleteI somewhat agree, but if they split into two, and have two rulers, maybe the two countries could be more under control.
DeleteThis is crazy please stop. It doesn't make any sense...
