Militants attacked an Afghan National Army outpost on early Sunday, in eastern Afghanistan. They don't know whether the missing 9 men were also killed or if the insurgents took them alive. The body of one militant was found in the area, but they aren't sure whether any others were killed or wounded. Kunar, where the attack took place, is a key transit route for militants from Pakistan. It's also the been the scene of some of the fiercest fighting for USA troops in the Afghan war.
It's a shame that this important transit route is so dangerous. They should try to increase security in the area if there's obviously been a large amount of fighting going on. I'm not sure how many other attacks like this have happened there, but I hope none of them happen again and that the missing men, especially if they're alive, are found. My heart goes out to the friends and families of those killed and missing from the attack.

I agree hopefully they are found alive.
