A suicide bomber detonated explosives in his Jeep near a gas station in Lebanon earlier today, February 1, killing at least four people and injuring fifteen more. This happened near the entrance to a Lebanese town called Hermel. Interior Minister Marwan Charbel called the country's security system "unstable and changing for the worse with every passing day."
This is terrible news. It's always awful when innocent people are murdered for no apparent reason. Suicide bombers are even more frustrating than any other murderer, though, because nobody can take them into custody and try to get answers from them. They're already dead. I hope that the wounded people heal quickly, and that the families and friends of those killed and injured are doing alright. I also hope that the source of this incident is discovered and crushed as soon as possible.
