In Russia the horrific truth about the Russian army went public. On Monday the Defense Minister told the truth about the armies historic practices and vowed that they would end this year. The horrific news was the Russian armies way of protecting their feet. Instead of wearing the perfectly comfortable socks we wear today, the soldiers would wrap their feet in clothe. "I would like to give an order that in 2013, at least by the end of the year, we forget the word 'foot cloths'," said a bold Sergi Shoigu at a televised meeting. Russia's military leaders have repeatedly vowed to stop this ancient practice and to start wearing socks. The Millitary leaders want extra funds to be given to the military to completely give up this practice in the armed forces. In 2007 the military uniforms list was revised and foot cloths and high boots were taken off the list, but the military still wore them.
