A lightning strike killed 11 during a tribal ritual in Colombia. There were 13 injuries in the incident, so not all the members were killed in this tragic incident. Reporters are very aware that stuff like this happens all the time, but nothing has ever happened like that in Columbia. The lighting struck around 3 AM and set many of the tribes huts on fire. Some citizens were safely evacuated from the fire, but a lot of citizens did make it through this tragic incident. "I know that this is normal, that it is something that comes from nature, but nothing like this has ever happened there," said Marta Cecilia Gil, who tearfully told Caracol her brother and brother-in-law died in the lightning strike.
My analysis on this event is the fact that things like this are unpreventable. Natural Disasters are with out a doubt the most dangerous and unstoppable forces. Homes are destroyed, buildings are burned, and people are killed The only thing we can really do is be prepared to react when these things happen. We need to be prepare to evacuate and keep safe. The Pompeii eruption is one of the most famous disasters in history, and the incident was unavoidable, but if you know such a situation is about to occur, you need to prepare.
These events are bound to happen. Although the event was catastrophic, people must be aware of the unseen.sad but true.
