"School Closures, Cleanings Over Ebola Concerns" by Tashina Amiro

If you aren't already tired of everything revolving around Ebola, here's another news update. This past Friday, several schools were closed in North Texas for a cleaning. These schools are located in Royce City, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Garland, and Belton. Unfortunately, some of the parents of the students at these schools were on Frontier Flight 1143 with the second nurse diagnosed with Ebola. None currently have symptoms, but a few of the families are voluntarily going into quarantine for extra precaution. Extra precaution is also why the schools closed on Friday to be cleaned. Overall, it seems like precaution is the way to deal with this disease.

I appreciate the actions that are being taken to help isolate this horrible disease. It seems like people are finally beginning to get with the program. In general, good job to the schools and families that are taking this extra precaution and maybe we have a chance of stopping Ebola from spreading any more.

  1. It seems like the families are probably going into quarantine out of paranoia, but better safe than sorry. It's nice to know that schools and families alike are making an effort to stop the spread of Ebola, even if it is mostly hype so far.

  2. I agree. This Ebola outbreak is starting to get out of hand. At first it was just one infected person, Thomas Duncan, but now it's affected two others, and hopefully not any more. Taking precautions is definitely the way to go.
