Cold weather claims lifes- Iris Hughey (from 12/24/12)

Cold weather in the Ukraine has caused 536 people to be hospitalized, and about 83 fatalities so far, according to state media reports. Authorities have set up nearly 2,800 "heating points" to help people in need across the country, which have helped more than 13,500 people. CNN forecasters say that cold arctic air has blasted Ukraine for more than a week, forcing temperatures below the December average high of 0 degrees and low of -5 degrees Celsius. Luckily, the capital may get back to near average temperatures on December 25 and 26!
