Cold Run Cancelled, By Jon Cope
Summary:
Every year for the past thirty five years, there would be a fundraiser where tons of people would come to run in the sea in Lowestoft, Suffolk, United Kingdom on Christmas Day. This fundraiser would raise hundreds of thousands of pounds (£1 = $1.62). Unfortunately, this year this even has been cancelled due to a lack of administration and funding. There would've been a £1200 charge for insurance in order to run it.
Analysis:
I find this sad, as I believe this is a great form for a fundraiser. And the money used from this organization would have been sent to charity, which could have saved someone's life. Hopefully it will continue next year.

This is very sad, especially since it's a fundraiser that they're cancelling. They could've earned thousands of pounds from the run, but they didn't even have enough to provide the run for people to come and give money to. I also hope they can find a way to pull together enough money next year, because fundraising races are always a good idea.
ReplyDeletethis is sad i hope they can restart this or help create another fund raiser
ReplyDeleteThere should be more people funding it. It sounds like it could be a big event if people got involved.
