SUMMARY: In recent polls jellyfish have been seen more and more often. Their stings are making a big impression and some say that they won't go to certain beaches because of them. Scientists say the rapid increase is caused by the changing temperatures in the oceans. Not only has their presence been felt in oceans, but also in fisheries and even at a nuclear plant. The said jellyfish were blocking an intake forcing the workers to shut down.
ANALYSIS: Nobody likes jellyfish stings and their increased presence most likely contributes to more stings. I don't think anything serious should be done, i mean just put up a net where they aren't wanted and should be fine. People are probably over reacting but just look out and be aware of your surroundings.

This is a somewhat funny story, and I like that.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that anyone should be that worried about jellyfish. It might be useful, though, to have a map of the jellyfish hotspots in certain coastal areas.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should take more precautions than a net, but that's still a good idea, we just don't want it to get out of hand
