The government shutdown: Americans on the edge by Kegan Cole

The government shut down does not feel like a very big deal to many people, but to others, it can be life threatening. A cancer patient now has to wait for trials till the government can get back up and running. She would usually only have to wait a few days, now she is having to hold out even longer. this is not the first or last life threatening issue people are having with the government shutdown.

I think this is ridiculous because of the government dealing with their own problems they are leading Americans in the wrong path and putting someone who doesn't deserve it life in danger. i believe they need to deal with things like this rather than forcing people to wait for necessary things.

  1. I agree - sometimes the government can get so wrapped up in politics that they forget that they're working for the people. They need to realize that a lot of people rely on the government for help, and taking that away from them, even for a few days, is not at all beneficial.
