Teen killed in Maryland shootout; 3 bodies found at a Kentucky address linked to the teen

A 16 year old teen named Jason Hendrix failed to stop when a state trooper tried to pull him over. A car chase started and Hendrix struck another vehicle, forcing him to stop with police surrounding him. Officers approached the vehicle and the teen pulled out a gun and was shooting at the officers and shot one of them. The officers shot back and killed the teenager. Detectives traced the teen's car registration to an address in Corbin 500 miles away from the shootout. At the house police discovered the bodies of Jason Hendrix's parents and sister. They believe Jason Hendrix is responsible for the deaths of his family. Many questions are still unanswered, such as is he responsible for the deaths and if he is, then why and when did he commit this crime?
This is a very serious situation, and since the suspect was killed, police may not be able to truly know what his motive was. It is surprising to me that he would be able to kill his own family and not care what horrible crime he committed.
