The name of this 4 year old girl wasn't given, but she fell out of the back of the bus in the middle of the highway. Ryan Ciampoli, a trained emergency medical technician driving behind the bus, jumped out right after and helped her that Wednesday. She suffered a broken jaw and will go through surgery. The investigators are still trying to figure out whether the door was locked or not.
This breaks my heart and I hope that she will be okay. No 4 year old deserves to go through that, actually no one should have to go through that. This is really dangerous and the bus driver should've made sure that everything on the bus was safe for kids.

This makes me wonder if the door was unlocked, or if there were any things or details that could help investigators find out what went wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this is so sad and scary for the little girl. I'm glad it was only a broken jaw, which don't get me wrong is bad, but it could've been worse.
ReplyDeletethis makes me question how the security of the bus. How would anyone fall out of the bus? was the door locked or did the girl unlock it?
ReplyDeleteit is awful to hear this news and to know this young girl got hurt, let along knowing that she could have died. after this event, the buses should definitely have better rules and security. We don't want anything like this to happen again
I never thought that buses had security issues. They need to prevent other young children from hurting themselves.
