Taiwan has banned eating dog and cat meat. Originally, it had bans on the sale of dog and cat meat but his takes it one step further to protect animals. Also, they raised the punishment of the cruelty of animals. You can now get two years in jail with a fine of over $60,000.

It is crazy that some countries eat dogs and cats. I guess it's in their culture but it really turns my stomach. Thankfully, this act is starting to be banned to protect all the precious dogs and cats in the world.
