Current Events: 59 Missiles to Syria
On the night of April 6th, 59 Tomahawk missiles were sent to a military base in Syria, because of an alleged chemical weapons attack on a village in Syria that killed around a hundred people. Only 23 of the missiles reached the target. Syria has released statements that the U.S. is only helping terrorist organizations, and that the attack violated international laws and customs. Syria also condemned the white house for acting "without knowing the truth about what occurred and without identifying those responsible.” Syria is one of Russia’s main allies, and they did not have a very good response to the attack. Trump called on other countries to help end bloodshed in Syria.

I don’t really understand this attack because while using illegal nerve agent gas is terrible, Trump signed an order to ban Syrians from entering the country. I don’t really think that this is Trumps business to get into this conflict, and I think that more thought and investigation should have been put into the attack before actions were taken. I do agree that actions should be taken against terrorism but I think that the execution of this plan was poor.

  1. I'm with you on this subject I feel that I can't say it's the wrong move, but it seems very impulsive.

  2. I agree with both of you, sometimes i think our president should sit on his hands and think before he does something.
