Van Explosion in Oslo, Norway: Amanda Kipp
On July 22, 2011 a man named Anders Breivik exploded a van in Oslo, Norway. The explosion itself killed 8 people and wounded another 209. After detonating the van, Breivik went to a distant and isolated youth camp and shot and killed 69 people. New video footage of him walking away from the van before it explodes was found recently. This video shows Breivik walking away from the van he detonated using a bomb he built. He had parked this van adjacent to the building in which the Norwegian prime minister's offices were located. Then the bomb explodes and the video shows buildings being destroyed. This past August, Anders Breivik was charged for the murder of 77 people and is now in prison for 21 years (which is the maximum for Norway). Thankfully this terrible man was put to justice but it is good to have video evidence and proof of some of his crime. http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/26/15465373-video-anders-breivik-walks-from-exploding-van-in-oslo?lite

This is sad. I wish that there was a better ending to this story. At least this guy is in jail.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad justice was served.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrible. He deserves his sentence.
