Flooding in England by: Rachel Devine

After days and days of heavy rain fall, southwestern England and parts of Wales have been flooded. The UK Environment Agency announced a severe flood alert after days of rain. The River Cober was rising over its banks and people's houses were getting damaged. The Devon and Cornwall Police Service reported that a falling tree killed a woman on Saturday night. Luckily, she is the only fatality known so far. Weather forecasters are predicting from 30-70 millimeters of rain still to come. More than 225 areas from Cornwall through the Midlands region to the northeastern coast have been affected by the flooding. Officials are telling people to prepare themselves for more to come.

I think it's very unfortunate that the worst is yet to come. I hope the people living in England take precautions and stay safe. Hopefully the number of deaths will stay down very low.
