A small workshop run by Caritas, a relief organization in the Catholic Church, caught fire in Titisee-Neustadt, German on November 26. This workshop was believed to be used for woodwork and metal work. Firemen say that there were 50 people in the building when the fire started. The fire started to spread from the third floor roof at 2 this afternoon. The fire spread quickly through the building. Once the firemen and helicopters got to the sight, most of the building was in flames. After the firemen had entered the building and all came back out, it was confirmed that not everyone had made it out in time. There are 14 confirmed deaths and as of now, 8 that are injured. The reason for the fire starting is still unknown. "We know the colleagues at the scene will do everything to find out the cause for this terrible event," Caritas president Peter Neher was quoted by AFP news agency as saying."Thinking if this had happened to me or someone that I knew, it really breaks my heart. This disaster was unexpected and maybe even unpreventable. I can imagine that the families who lost loved ones in the fire are suffering. The police and firemen who were at the scene might feel hopeless as well. It is no ones fault that this happened. I hope that if any blame is put onto anymore that they can forgive themselves because this was uncalled for and more than likely no one knew that it was going to happen.

This is so sad, and I am very sorry for all of the families and their losses.
