Smartphones Helping to Save Trees-- Sydney Abdo

In England, there is a tree disease, the Ash Dieback, that slowly kills off the ash trees. Ash are a large number of the trees found in England and this is taking away that population.

An app has been created that allows a person to take a picture of the tree with this app and have the exact location be sent to the main server, where a team of people go through the pictures and determine which are acutal cases and which need to be dealed with ASAP.

This disease was rumored to originate in Denmark, but reported cases also came in from Germany. Many nursuries have had to kill their ash saplings, and it is is wondered what will happen if a cure is not found.
