A women died in Ireland because she was having a miscarrage and the govenment denied her abortion. She reportively said that her back was hurting and when when the medics examined her to see what was wrong, they prompty said she had a miscarriage. She was 17 weeks pregnant at the time and instead of healing her, the doctors, due to government restrictions, couldn't abort her baby! this has sparked up many debates over abortion.

I think that the government obviously has its reasons for saying no to abortions. I think that this law should be looked at in different veiws because if a women is going to be sick and die, they need to save her and abort the child! I think that it should be up to the woman wheather or not she should keep or abort the baby.

Hey megan you wonder why the world is so concerned with over population... it's because we think we can play God and try to make people that are supposed to die stay and live longer, and the kids that without medecine would simply go onto a better place because they can't survive, we keep them here on the earth and so all the bad genetic traits that should have died with the people are being passed down. Survival of the fittest isn't as bad as people think it is. a womna dies of a miscarrage... wonder why no one argued about that 200 years ago? because nobody had the technology to play God like they do now. If her baby miscarrage killed her, i'm sorry and tat's hard on a family. but, she's off to a new place now and argueing about killing the baby anyway so you can give someone who is not the fittest a chance to survive is near sighted and selfish... no one lives forever so why would we try to save someone who's lived their life for a choice THEY made and call it outragous when something like that happens. people should start to take a look at the world of how things used to be. if al we rely on is tachnology, what happens to us when it fails? what will we have then if we put all of our trust and lives into something we unperfect humans made? God made life, and death is just a passing from one life to the next so don't get upset when someone dies because they couldn't kill their baby ahead of time. Please read this and comment your thoughts and I"m open for debate any time on B lunch everybody!
ReplyDeleteI agree and think it's an interesting topic
ReplyDeleteIts not the governments fault. The fact that she got sick is only natural. Sure it might have been best to abort the baby, but that still puts the woman at risk of death. Changing the law because of one case is stupid. If more people are given the option to abort babies, think about how many more people will run off and do stupid things because they can "fix" that mistake. Also, there could be a drop in the number of children born because of the number of aborted babies. I think that it is horrible wrong to ever allow something like that to happen.
