Europe and Russia team up on the plan to put their own rover on Mars. They met at the Ministerial Council 2012 in Naples, Italy, where BBC News reported that they had signed an agreement to work together to put a Russian/European rover on Mars by 2018.
I think this is cool, because this will support the competition between nations and keep it going for a while.
